Giorgos Georgiou

George P.Georgiou was born in Yaounde-Kameroon in Africa by cypriots parents.

When he was six years old his drawings at school revealed his talent in art. He took part in many art competitions and he won a lot of prizes.

He studied art in Athens with scholarship of the Greek Government from 1989-1995.His teachers were the popular greek artists Dimitrios Mytaras and Efthymios Panourgias.

George Georgiou is a sensitive, talented and creative person. His paintings were influenced by the work of his teachers especially from D.Mytaras.

His drawings and especially his portraits are unique and they are so real that they look like photographs.

His paintings have the human, water and the animals as their main theme.

His recent work was based in the village life in Cyprus.

From 1997 he teaches art in his own  art studioin Nicosia  to students from 5-85 years old. His students present their paintings in a group exhibition in Nicosia every year .
